Our Estate is located in Buttrio, in the district of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, a land of gently rolling hills known for its superior wines. The Estate unfolds across 110 hectares, nearly all covered with vineyards, and has belonged to our family for more than 500 years. The ancient records in our family archives contain many interesting references such as how in 1140, ten Buttrio farming contracts were donated to a Benedictine monastery so that the monks could make wine and oil.
We are especially proud of using only grapes produced from our vines, 70% of which are vines grown in our vineyards from selected cloning on our estate. These vines are therefore perfectly suited to the environment and produce truly typical wines. A "great" wine can, of course, only come from a "great" vineyard.
Ruby red color of good intensity and hue. On the nose it provides intense, generous with aromas reminiscent of cherry, violet, wild berries, cherry jam. Dry, soft, about a tannic texture firm but balanced. The palate is rich, concentrated with a lingering finish that makes it particularly pleasant to drink.
Brilliant straw yellow with light copper hues, delicate and pleasant with fruity notes of golden apple and elderberry flower and almond.
The finish is pleasantly citrusy with grapefruit peel and cedar in evidence. The taste is dry, fresh, full and kind of very good wrap, and persistence. Harmonious end to the flavor, the final spread over pleasant mineral notes and varietal typical of the grape.
Variety: Pinot Grigio
Vol: 750 ml
Bright straw yellow color. Vine with an aromatic scent that reminds citrus, pepper and tomato leaf. Savory and fine on the palate with a pleasant mineral and persistent aftertaste.
