Winery The name of Santomè is originated from Saint Thomas, a doubtful apostle who wanted to see in order to believe. The picture on the trademark means that ‘I am like Saint Thomas, I cannot believe unless I stick my nose in’. Tenuta Santomè is a bit like this...
The 63 hectares of Santomè vineyards are all in the province of Treviso – home of Prosecco – and 27 of them are dedicated exclusively to the production of 3 different types of Prosecco.
100% Glera grapes are mechanically harvested within Santome estate in Treviso Prosecco DOC zone. Stainless steel tanks fermentation with no MLF. Yeast is added to allow second fermentation in a pressurized tanks "Charmat method" to create bubbles. Residual sugar level of 9g/L.
Pale lemon colour with fine bubbles. Aromas of green apple, white flowers. Light, fresh palate with lemony acidity.
The Santomè Extra Dry is a balanced, clean sparkling wine that really shines when served on it’s own to start a meal and which can be used in most any cocktail requiring additional bubbles.
